These terms apply to digital products sold under the Pocket Accountant brand, including TaxBook, TaxVault and the Landlord Toolkit. Pocket Accountant, TaxBook, TaxVault and the Landlord Toolkit are digital product lines owned and operated by Scrase Associates Ltd.
1. What you are buying
TaxBook is a spreadsheet-based record organisation tool. TaxVault is a collection of general educational resources, checklists and walkthrough materials. The products are designed for straightforward UK Self Assessment preparation by sole traders, freelancers, side-hustlers and individual landlords.
2. No formal client relationship
Purchasing or using these products does not create an accountant-client relationship, engagement letter, retainer or duty to provide ongoing advice from Scrase Associates Ltd or Anthony Scrase FCCA.
3. General guidance only
The products provide general information and organisation tools. They are not personalised tax, legal, financial or accountancy advice. You remain responsible for checking your own figures, filing requirements, tax return and deadlines.
4. Not suitable for complex cases
The launch products are not intended for limited companies, partnerships, complex VAT, payroll, overseas income, residence or domicile issues, capital gains complexities, R&D claims, complex property portfolios, trusts, estates or bespoke tax planning.
5. Digital delivery and refunds
Products are delivered digitally. Once digital content has been accessed or downloaded, cancellation and refund rights may be affected. If there is a technical access problem, contact support so the file or link can be corrected.
6. Accuracy and updates
Reasonable care is taken when preparing resources, but tax rules, thresholds and HMRC processes can change. You should check current HMRC guidance or seek advice where required.
7. Licence
Your purchase gives you a personal licence to use the product for your own records. You must not resell, redistribute, copy, publish or share the product publicly.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scrase Associates Ltd is not responsible for losses arising from misuse of the products, inaccurate data entered by users, missed deadlines, or reliance on the product as a substitute for personalised advice.
